Consultation:
Book a non-binding consultation with us. During the consultation, you'll get an overview of what the treatment involves, both in terms of benefits and
disadvantages. Informed patients make good choices, so we set aside plenty of time for you.
Fasting and medication:
On the day of surgery, you must be fasting, i.e. you should not eat or drink during the last 6 hours before surgery. Nicotine intake is avoided in the last 6 weeks before surgery, alcohol in the last week before surgery.
Most regular medications should be taken as normal, but blood thinners and weight-loss drugs such as Wegovy must be discontinued somewhat in advance of surgery. This will be agreed with your surgeon in connection with the consultation.
Good to think about the day of your surgery:
Wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off and that do not press on the skin.
Make sure someone can pick you up after surgery.

Anesthesia:
BBL is performed under general anesthesia. This means that you sleep during the operation and feel no discomfort during the procedure itself.
Duration of the operation:
BBL usually takes 2 - 3 hours, but this varies from patient to patient.

The surgeon shapes the buttocks by liposuction of the abdomen, waist and back. The fat that has been removed is then transplanted back to the desired areas of the buttocks to achieve the desired shape.
Body shaping with liposuction is just as important as fat grafting for shaping the buttocks.
Awakening:
After the operation, you wake up in our post-operative ward. There you will be cared for until you are ready to go home.
Follow your surgeon's instructions to ensure the best possible result.
Control:
The first check-up is usually after 7-14 days. This is when we remove any stitches and check that everything is as planned.
The next check after this is usually after 3 - 6 months.
Downtime:
It's a good idea to plan a few days of rest after surgery. Simple, everyday activity is usually fine from the first day after surgery. You should not lie on your back or sit directly on your buttocks for the first 3 weeks after surgery. However, you can sit, as long as you sit on the edge of a chair with your weight on your thighs. Sitting on a cushion can make this easier.
Exercise and activity:
For the first 2-3 weeks, you should avoid any activity that increases your heart rate.
After 4-6 weeks, you can gradually resume normal training.
Arr:
The tape applied during surgery should not be changed before the first check-up. The scars are less than 10 mm long and are usually not very visible once they have healed.

No, BBL is not a silicone implant in the buttocks. BBL uses the body's own tissue to enlarge the desired areas of the buttocks. Klinikk A advises against implants in the buttocks due to the high risk of complications and unfavorable results over time.
BBL is buttock shaping with liposuction and fat grafting. A buttock lift, or hip and seat lift, is a completely different operation. In a buttock lift, loose skin is removed on the upper side of the buttocks, alternatively on the lower side of the buttocks, or both. Whether it is appropriate to remove skin on the upper or lower side of the buttocks depends on the anatomy of the individual.
Klinikk A, and the entire Norwegian scientific community, warn against surgery performed in other countries. "If you experience complications, the incidence of multi-resistant bacteria, MRSA, is much higher in all other European countries, with the exception of the Netherlands. In Turkey, the risk is even higher.
Klinikk A warns against BBL with filler. Filler for injection for BBL is an off-label use and is not approved, neither in Europe nor in the USA. Information that says otherwise is misleading at best.
Liposuction can lead to skin irregularities, asymmetry and bruising. Bleeding and infection are rare with BBL. Complications after BBL are rare, but all surgeries carry a risk of complications, which also applies to BBL. We go through this during the consultation.
