Fat grafting to the face can be used in several different cases. This is a method that can be used to rebuild volume naturally, and it can reduce and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines on the face. This procedure also has a positive effect on skin elasticity and appearance.
Transplanting your own fatty tissue does not cause an immune reaction, so there is very little risk of complications.
The procedure can be done in connection with a face lift/facelift, or upper/lower eyelid plastic surgery.
It can also be done on its own as a wrinkle treatment, or if you want more volume.

Using liposuction with fine instruments, we remove small amounts of the patient's own fatty tissue from a suitable area. The fat is prepared for transplantation so that only the best fat tissue is used for the transplant. The fat is then injected into the desired areas with precision and fine technique. Thin and fine, specially designed needles are used for this. Some of the fat cells will dissolve and disappear, but normally most survive. In our experience, approximately 70 % of the transplanted fat cells survive. Admittedly, there are individual differences in the degree of survival.
The fat cells are soft and you will get a permanent, natural result.
All adipose tissue is rich in stem cells. Stem cells are a unique type of cell that can develop into different types of cells and positively influence existing cells. Among other things, they contribute to the body's repair of damage and maintenance of different tissues. Stem cells are probably the reason for the skin-improving effect of this type of treatment. A great deal of research is taking place in this field internationally.
The technique of autologous fat grafting has long been used as a treatment for a variety of injuries, deformities and reconstruction after cancer, for example. In a cosmetic context, autologous fat grafting is relatively new on the market and advances are constantly being made. Breast augmentation with your own fat and fat grafting to the face are increasingly being performed, both at Klinikk A, but also internationally. Klinikk A is keen to keep up with developments so that our patients feel safe and know that they are getting the best treatment in this area.
Scars that heal optimally are narrow, soft, minimally bothersome and have a smooth transition to adjacent tissue. Occasionally, scars can become retracted, hard, tender and provide less soft tissue coverage than desired. Scars resulting from injuries or infections are more likely to heal in this way. Fat grafting can soften the scar tissue, make up for lack of volume and in some cases have a beneficial effect on discomfort and tenderness related to the scars. The method can be used to treat scars all over the body. In our experience, the method is particularly suitable for facial scar corrections.
Klinikk A has surgeons with nearly 30 years of experience with fat removal/liposuctionand more than 10 years of experience with fat grafting.
