Rune Horneland

Dr. Rune Horneland er overlege og spesialist i generell kirurgi, gastrokirurgi og karkirurgi. Han startet sin kirurgiske karriere ved Haugesund sjukehus i 2003 og har siden opparbeidet seg bred erfaring fra universitetssykehus i Oslo og Göteborg, samt fra flere lokalsykehus i Norge.

Fra 2008 til 2020 arbeidet Rune ved Oslo universitetssykehus, Rikshospitalet, hvor han jobbet med gastrokirurgi, transplantasjonskirurgi og karkirurgi. I denne perioden tok han sin doktorgrad (PhD). Siden 2020 har han kombinert klinisk praksis innen karkirurgi med faglig utvikling, undervisning og ledelse ved kirurgisk avdeling, Hamar sykehus.
